Catalyst Sports & Rescue Network
9/11 Memorial Climb for Veterans – Muir Valley, Kentucky
Adaptive adventure. Veterans’ stories. A climb to remember.
Catalyst Sports is a chapter-based, volunteer-run nonprofit that gives people with physical disabilities access to the life-changing impact of outdoor adventure—within a deeply supportive, inclusive community across the Southeast.
Through adaptive climbing, mountain biking, kayaking, cycling, and more, they break down barriers with specialized equipment and trained volunteers so athletes of all abilities can experience challenge, confidence, and joy.
Their work is anchored in three words: Access. Community. Impact.
Rescue Network
Rural communities. Forgotten animals. A bridge to safety.
Rescue Network is a foster-based animal rescue serving under-resourced pet communities across the Upper Midwest. Working alongside local shelters, tribal communities, and small-town partners, they focus on the animals most people never see—those who are sick, abused, neglected, or simply born into areas with very few options for care. Through spay/neuter clinics, transport, adoption, fostering, and on-the-ground outreach, they work to reduce stray pet populations and strengthen the communities where people and animals live together.
Since 2019, Rescue Network has helped save more than 8,000 dogs and cats, and in 2025 alone they expect to facilitate around 1,800 adoptions while investing close to $1 million in veterinary care—meeting animals at their most vulnerable and giving them a real shot at a healthy life.
“There are weeks when the needs become so high that we don’t know how we’re going to make it. So every donation that comes in, is put to use immediately and is literally saving lives.”
